Making a special dessert for Christmas in 2020 brought back so many memories of life in the business world back in the 80s and 90s, and memories of “business lunches” in and around Boston. But I couldn’t not include the recipe that brought these memories back! A simple Berries Pavlova and a sneaky recipe for Strawberries Romanoff if you’re paying attention.
We’ve hiked in Lexington 3+ times in the past 12 months. After our most recent hike on New Year’s Weekend, I realize why. It’s the perfect spot for a hike, whether alone, with friends or with family, any time of the year.
A few weeks ago we hiked at Breakheart Reservation. If you grew up north of Boston, perhaps you remember this park? It’s had some upgrades and is a perfect place to hike pretty much any time of the year! Did it have a fountain when you went there?
When plans don’t go according to plan, we make the best of it. New hiking boots and an incredible steak and mushroom sauce dinner replaced our trip to Castle Hill last night. It was a good evening after all!
We went hiking recently at Harold Parker State Forest, and it brought back summer memories from childhood. Did you have a favorite place to swim? I had a few, and two are still around!
Looking for a family friendly paved trail for kids, family and even leashed dogs? This is it! Great options for parking, pretty scenery, and there are many sections to access from Lowell all the way to Framingham. Plus we found a great place for coffee and tea in Acton!
May be one of our last beach walks of the year. And while it wasn’t long, we squeezed every drop of “great” out of it! From gorgous ocean views, to a winery and an amazing Italian bakery/sandwich shop/grocery
The Saturday after the election we took a hike at deCordova Sculpture Park. It’s kid-friendly, an easy walk, and you’ll see some amazing modern art literally standing out in nature for you to enjoy at your leisure. So many pieces. And a yummy vegetable barley soup with wild mushrooms and lentils to make when you get home!
